Mum's the word

I had a Skype conversation with a couple of writers and an editor today for a project I can't really talk about. I WANT to talk about it, but I'm not allowed. I'm really looking forward to this one and really, really looking forward to when it's announced. This should be absolutely amazing fun!

Andrew Mayhem

So Jeff Strand's Andrew Mayhem Books are now available at Amazon.com for the Kindle in a bundled four pack.  I mention this because they are absolutely wonderful books. I also mention this because I wrote the foreword for the collection.

You can get a sample of Jeff's writing and a you can even read my foreword at the following link: Andrew Mayhem collection.

Can I get an Amen?

CONGREGATIONS OF THE DEAD, the follow up to BLIND SHADOWS, my collaborative novel with Charles R. Rutledge, is now in the final editing stages. Put less formally, Charles gave it the once over and I'm almost done doing the same. From there it's off to the publishers for layout, design and the whole nine yards. Like as not the manuscript will be heading out from my place within the next two weeks, possibly sooner but I have a couple of deadlines to catch up on before I give a final push.

Nothing solid yet, but according to Larry Roberts, we're looking at a pretty fast turn around and I am delighted to say we'll have Alex McVey handling the cover art again. I am absolutely delighted.

And no, I didn't actually use ALL of the possible links I could have in those sentences. I mean, come on, how many links can I actually expect you to go look at?

bad week on the health front

So it seems that most of my family has decided this is a really great week to get a case of the bad health icks. In my case a minor bug. Might have tried to be the flu, but I got a flu shot early on, so if that's the case it was a minor bout for me. Two sisters with severe coughs, a brother just recovering from a much worse case of the flu and a sibling who decided it's a good time to deal with coronary issues.

I have strongly suggested that each and every one of them promptly get over feeling sick. So far no one is listening to me.

All of which is my way of saying stay healthy out there, folks.

A Matter of perspective

Alex McVey, the artist who did the stunning cover for BLIND SHADOWS, was gracious enough to send the original art to me. Why? Because he's one of the good guys. Just so that everyone out there can see that glorious work, and because Alex asked, I'm adding for all involved a picture of coauthor Charles R. Rutledge and yours truly holding the cover art and a copy of the book to boot.

Just a darned pretty picture I must say. Not the writers, the illustration.

Blind Shadows hits Kindle and beyond.

So my novel with Charles R. Rutledge, BLIND SHADOWS, is now available on the Kindle and will soon be available as a trade paperback as well. I have the link for the Kindle right here.  Of course, that's hardly enough. I have to do the bragging thing again, because, how else will you ever possibly know what's what? So there are a couple of reviews as well. and you can find the one from Horror World right here. And peter Schwotzer's review from Famous Monsters has shown up a few other places as well, including right here on Good Reads.

Of course, what's the fun without showing you the gorgeous cover by Alex Mcvey one more time?
